Hearing aids are expensive, so I was very disappointed when the hearing aids I purchased just under 3 years ago, weren’t working for me anymore. The hearing aid provider had tried increasing the volume for me, but that just distorted sound.

I presumed my hearing had deteriorated beyond help and pretty much resigned myself to relying on friends to help “interpret” what was going on around me.
Luckily, a friend who’d heard about Hearing Aid Source suggested I give it a try. I checked out their website and thought, if nothing else I can ask about cochlear implants.

Meeting with Edmond was a revelation…within 5 minutes he’d assured me that he could help. He talked me through everything he was doing, and within 15 minutes he’d remedied the main problem with my hearing aids (not my hearing!). He spent another 20 minutes or so calibrating the devices to ensure I was gaining the maximum benefit and then he made sure that I could hear clearly in a number of different, typical social situations.

The result has been, without exaggeration, life altering. Being able to hear clearly means being included rather than sitting on the sidelines. Participating, not just watching events unfold.

I didn’t initially realize I had a hearing challenge—I thought everyone else had started mumbling. It got to the point where what I heard wasn’t even close to what people were saying, and I was answering the wrong questions, which made me look foolish.
