Memori grew up in Toronto. As our hearing instrument dispenser, Memori enjoys providing a variety of services for our clients, including earwax removals, hearing tests, dispensing hearing aids and offering ongoing client services.
Her favourite part of her job is being a part of the Hearing Aid Source team. According to Memori, the team has a special family bond. They also have a common goal, which is to provide the best service possible in order for their clients to be happy and improve their quality of life.
Memori has witnessed numerous client success stories during her career, but her experience with one client particularly stands out. She shares that a 90-year-old gentleman visited the clinic with his daughter who booked the appointment. Initially, communication with him seemed challenging, as he didn’t want to speak very much.
During the hearing test, Memori found him to be more responsive when he was in the test booth. Following further consultation with his daughter, hearing aids were ordered for him.
The next appointment was his hearing aid fitting. Memori says as soon as she put the hearing aids on him, he got the biggest smile on his face – and the hearing aids weren’t even fully programmed yet!
Once the programming was completed, the gentleman was more talkative than ever. When Memori asked him, “What are you going to do today after our appointment?” he replied, “I’m going to hang out with the boys.”
He was thrilled to take part in conversations again and told Memori that his hearing aids were 100%. His daughter was also very happy. Memori says it’s moments like this that make her job so rewarding.
When she is not at the clinic, Memori enjoys athletic activities. However, after enduring a number of athletic injuries, she is currently focusing on recovery. She likes going to the gym and working on strengthening and mobility training.
